The MPC Difference Defined By The MPC Way
Mount Paran Christian School is a very special place. We believe we are one of the few schools in the country committed to cultivating a distinctly Christian culture while pursuing excellence in athletics. Our administration and staff believe that a winning culture goes hand in hand with honoring God and developing character in the lives of young people. The passion of our athletics department is for every student to look back on their experience as an MPCS Eagle and recognize God’s hand and influence in their life. At the heart of the MPC sports legacy is what we call the MPC Way.

The History of the MPC Way
In the winter of 2017, a committee of head coaches and administrators began the process of developing a clear and compelling vision for developing Christ-like character traits in athletes. The committee posed a series of questions and put in the work to describe the winning ways of a championship level program. This would include conduct on and off the field of play.
The next step in the process was to include student-athletes from every sports team to determine a unified set of beliefs and values that would resonate with teenagers. Subsequent to a series of engaging and energetic meetings, five core values were submitted to the coaches’ committee. These would serve to the universal core values that every student-athlete would aspire to live by daily — the principles that would guide individual and team standards of behavior and actions which soon became know as the "MPC Way."

What is the MPC Way?
The MPC Way is not just a phrase, it is a standard. It reflects who we are and how we operate. It means pursuing excellence in everything we do while remaining firmly rooted in our Christ-centered mission. It means developing student-athletes who compete at a high-level, but who also lead with character, integrity, and purpose. It also means understanding that success is not measured solely by wins and losses but by the impact we make on the lives of our students.
The MPC Way is a set of five core values that defines the athletic program at Mount Paran Christian School. This ethos encompasses far more than talent and skill. MPC teammates pursue a common goal by uniting around these values, which guide how they compete, represent one another, and ultimately bring glory to God.
- HUMILITY Selfless, Respect, and Putting God & Others First.
- INTEGRITY Strong moral character and honesty when no one is watching.
- PASSION Deep love for the game and a drive to achieve competitive greatness.
- EFFORT Relentless work ethic and determination.
- EXCELLENCE Commitment to complete dedication and holding oneself accountable.

MPC is invested wholeheartedly in Christ-centered athletics. We are doubling down on developing programs where faith is not an afterthought, but a foundation. Our players are called to compete with intensity and discipline, but also to reflect Christ in how they prepare, how they respond to adversity, and how they treat others. That combination of faith and competition is what makes Eagle athletics unique. While we honor our rich sports history, we also push forward. We are grateful for the vision of former AD, Mitch Jordan, and the staff and students that were foundational in the formation of the MPC Way back in 2017.
The vision for MPC athletics is clear: We will pursue championship athletics while also staying true to the MPC Way. That means building programs that compete at the highest level, developing athletes who are discipline and prepared, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. We will celebrate success, but we will also embrace the daily process of getting better, both individually and collectively. The MPC Way will continue to serve as a code of ethics that will embody athletic programs for years to come.
For our coaches that means leading with purpose and investing in the development of every student-athlete.
For our players, it means committing to excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in their walk with Christ.
For our entire community, it means continuing to support and strengthen tradition and the spirited culture that has been built over generations.
We are proud of where we've been. We are excited about where we are, and we are driven by where we are going. The desire is to see all MPC Eagles live out these core values, now and in the future, as defined by the MPC Way.
